This hotel is located at the heart of McBride on First Avenue 100 meters from the old railway station which houses the local information centre and small restaurant. The first hotel was built in 1919 (the Fraser Hotel) and burned and the current hotel was built in 1954. The hotel offers 17 affordable rooms, that are fully equipped with double beds and bathrooms. Seven of them have no shower and the other ten have showers. A common shower room is down the hall. Most have a tv and fridge. There is a full serve 70 seat restaurant (not open) with a formal dining room and the remainder of the main floor houses the "Only Bar in Town". The basement is used for the propane forced air furnace (new 2005) and storage. Currently a new metal roof and trusses are being installed. The building and all areas are in a neat and clean condition and the hotel is open daily. There is lots of parking in the lot and on the street. This is a very vibrant business and is bright and centrally located.
